University of Applied Sciences
Mittelhessen (THM)

Since 2019 I'm teaching »Current web and mobile technologies« in the winter semesters at the Campus of Friedberg, Hessen.

The course is part of the bachelor studies »Media Informatics« at the »Department of Information Technology - Electrical Engineering - Mechatronics«.

The lessons are as the course title suggests about current technologies in the context of web and mobile.

My focus is not only on technologies and tools it self, but also on the way there to provide the necessary know-how from different perspectives.

So we start non-technology with the topic of User Experience and Behavioral Sciences to question the sense and purpose of web offers to align them from the beginning to the users as well as for the business.
In lecture we cover...
  • theory and practice on analyzing the Customer Journey,
  • changing user behavior through Behavioral Patterns,
  • usage of web and behavioral Analysis Tools,
  • getting in touch with customer and behavioral Data Processing,
  • facing actual web development with technologies like React, languages like TypeScript, DevOps aso.
  • using A/B testing for validation and last but not least
  • on the sidelines all kinds of tools around Cloud computing, Data Management, Machine Learning, Data security and Privacy.
